Seasonal bedding, annuals and patio plants

Bedding plants are excellent for brightening tubs and hanging baskets, as well as giving a seasonal lift to your borders and we stock a wide choice, sold in a variety of sizes, including good value multipacks. Because of the nature of bedding plants, our range changes quite rapidly through the year, and most will only be in stock for a short time.

We have a huge choice for pots and hanging baskets in the summer time, including Anagalis, Bacopa, Bidens, Begonia (bedding, upright and trailing), Brachyscome, Calibrochoa (Millions Bells), Convolvulus, Cuphea, Diascia, Dichondra, Fuchsia (upright and trailing), Helichrysum, Impatiens (Busy Lizzy), Isotoma, Lantana, Lobelia (upright and trailing), Lysimachia, Nasturtium, Nemesia, Nepeta, Pelargoniums (Zonal, Ivy, Scented Geraniums), Petunia, Plectranthus, Sanvitalia, Scaevola, Thunbergia, Torenia, Verbena, Zinnia.

For borders and patio pots we sell Abutilon, Angelonia, Antirrhinum, Argyranthemum, Calendula, Chrysanthemum, Cineraria, Cleome, Coleus, Cosmos, Dahlia, Dianthus, Gaura, Gazania, Gerbera, Heliotrope, Hibiscus, Madeira, Marigold, Millet, Nicotiana, Osteospermum, Ranuculus, Rudbeckia, Salvia, Senetti, Stocks, Sunflowers, Sweet Peas, Sweet Williams, Vinca.

In 2019 we introduced a range of annuals suitable for cut flower displays.

*Please note that summer bedding plants cannot go out into the garden until the risk of frost has passed. For this reason we do not sell them earlier than mid-April*
For the cooler months of the year our plants include spring bulbs, Bellis, Primroses, Polyanthus (Primula), Violas, pansies - including trailing varieties - wallflowers, Cyclamen, Garden Mums, bulbs, and young specimens of Euonymus, Lonicera nitida (shrubby honeysuckle), Helichrysum, Goldcrest and ivy suitable for growing in tubs and hanging baskets.

Most bedding plants prefer full sun, although many varieties of Begonia, Fuchsia, Impatiens, Viola, Lobelia, Petunia and Nicotiana (tobacco plant) will bear some shade.

This list is by no means exhaustive – to see our full range you will have to come and visit us! Please also bear in mind that not all plants will be in stock at any one time –if there is a variety you particularly want, please phone or email to check beforehand.
