History

For several years Katie's Garden Plant Centre supplied perennials and bedding to the previous owners of the centre in Monks Eleigh, who ran it as the Wildflower Nursery.

When the site became vacant at the end of 2011, Katie's Garden owner Susie Davis and her team leapt at the chance to start a new venture and share their plants and gardening passion with those to the west of the county.

Hard work over the winter saw the sales area greatly expanded to offer customers a much wider selection of plants than before.
Although staff are keen to keep the emphasis firmly on the plants, a selection of Apta pots was added to the range in 2013, which has proved popular with customers.

In 2014 the tunnel at the far end of the car park was given a polythene covering allowing it to be used for nursery production.

As well as meaning plants can now be grown on site the tunnel gives extra space for customers' tubs and hanging baskets to be planted up to order.
