First bulbs now in!

Pick up some paper bags and fill them with the bulbs of your choice - just like a kid in a sweetshop!

Our initial offering includes a rainbow of tulips, a host of dwarf varieties for colour early in the year, native fritillaries and bluebells, and a crowd of daffodils from tried-and-tested favourites to new-to-us varieties.

Many will be available loose for that pick & mix sweet shop experience, while others come pre-packed so you can grab & go.

Most of the range will also be available as part of the Katie's Garden Home Delivery service, alongside winter baskets,  wallflowers and winter-flowering pansies & violas.

Salvias trial: we want your feedback!

5/8/2020

We are trying out 12 New-to-Us Salvias this summer, and we would love you to tell us how they do!

The varieties are: African Sky; Amante; Blue Merced; California Sunset; Christine Yeo; Dyson’s Maroon; guaranitica Super Trouper; Javier; Peter Vidgeon; Phyllis Fancy; Pink Pong; Walsingham White.

They are available for general sale, and for 100 points each for Flourish members

What we would like to know:

  • Did the plant grow well overall?

  • Did it flower well; did it have a long flowering period?

  • Did the plant have a strong, neat shape, or did it sprawl, need staking or generally look misshapen?

  • Did it stay healthy, or were there any issues with pests or diseases?

  • Did it attract many pollinating insects?

  • Did it survive the winter?

  • Would you recommend it and/or buy it?

It's also helpful for us to know in how sunny a site you grew the plant, the type of soil, if you have had experience with Salvias before, and how experienced and confident you would consider yourself as a gardener - we are as keen to hear from the beginners as we are the experts!
